Study on dynamic strength and liquefaction mechanism of silt soil in Castor earthquake prone areas under different consolidation ratios

چکیده

Under the Castor earthquake, there is a risk of liquefaction instability saturated tailings, and evolution dynamic pore pressure can indirectly reflect its process. Before applying loads, static stress state soil one main factors affecting development strength pressure, are significant differences in under different consolidation ratios. This paper conducted triaxial tests on tailings silt with ratios, analyzed variation mechanism samples using discrete element method (PFC3D). The results showed that 1) as Kc′ gradually increased, was critical ratio during sample. specific value related to properties sand. this research about 1.9. When Kc < 1.9, increased increase Kc; when > decreased Kc. 2) impact cyclic load, were normally consolidated (Kc =1), water would tend be equal confining cause liquefaction. In case eccentric 1), less than thus, not induced, decrease ratio. provides engineering guidance for study sand earthquake prone areas
